The Church
Please allow us to introduce OURSELVES, our church, and projects to you. We trust that our website will give you an idea of who we are, what we do and what we intend to accomplish. As you prayerfully engage, ask God to guide you as to how you can become part of this community. ICFC Church is a contemporary, bible-based church declaring the liberating message of Jesus Christ with Matt 28: 18-20 as our foundational text. We strive to embody and express the spirit of the New Testament Church, as portrayed in Acts 4: 32-35. We see ourselves as a community that is transforming the lives of men and women through the gospel by building churches that will revolutionize Suburbs, Cities, and Nations. We are winning our world for Christ transforming communities, and developing people holistically. We are committed to developing the total person.

CHURCH HISTORY

During the apartheid regime in 1992, Pastor April who was an assistant pastor at the time was led to establish a church in Bronkhorstspruit. The first of its kind within the area, this work transcended racial boundaries and was later handed over to a new Pastorate. Our current church known as International Christian Fellowship Church was the second church that was established in the city of Ekangala and serves as the headquarters for all other branches that will come hereafter. With a vision to do community work with the widows and aged, the leadership applied for more land which was donated by the Kwandebele government this land was released with the vision in mind to build an Orphanage, Old Age Home, Christian School, Skills Development Centre and a Rehab Centre. Pastor April traveled to the USA to a church known as Willow Creek in Chicago.

And on his return, he was ignited to believe that this vision God gave him was possible, he was so encouraged and completely blown away by what he heard and what he saw. What is still left with him is the statement that was made by the senior Pastor Bill Hybels there is nothing better than the local church when the local church is working right (it’s the biggest business, the best business because it is God's business). In 2007 He went to the USA to visit some friends and attended the Aids Summit at Saddleback Church, when he returned six months later his biological brother came home to stay with him who was in his 4th stage and later died of HIV/Aids. After this Pastor April and the church started the Centre for OVCs and the VCT Centre for HIV and Aids patients with a support group. The leadership also agreed together with the church to build a mini hospice this building is now 50% complete ten beds have already been donated and a full-time nurse is also available more equipment is needed and finances to complete it. Praise God we are planning to open the new one thousand-seater church building soon and the VCT center as well, there are also plans submitted to do much more community development, training, and more job creation. In Zithobeni out of a project to feed the homeless and poverty-stricken, a third church was established which church grew and was handed over to a new Pastorate, this church still functions today and is now known as Community Changers Church.

The Family And Apostle Sebastion April's Late Wife.

The Family
Senior Pastor S.D April was born to the late William and Magdalene April in Kimberly, Northern Cape, South Africa and is one of eleven children. He attended Florianville High School and left in 1974 to do his trade in Carpentry, over the years he has worked as a Carpenter, Boilermaker, Building Inspector, trained Draftsman, and a Project Manager. He accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour in 1975 and was elected as an assistant Pastor the following year. After eight years of serving under his Pastor, he was released to start a church 1995. Pastor April is married to First Lady Jennifer April, has four children and four grand children, they have been married for 37 years and together they pastor International Christian Fellowship Church, established in 1995 and has planted two other churches since then. He is the Chairperson of the local fellowship of Pastors, Chairperson of the Local Development Committee and overseer of all Ovc's in the Kungwini and Metsweding Muncipal areas. He has also served as part of the executive of the Mayoral program(KLAC) for HIV/Aids and is the founder and visionary of ICFC Church and Lighthouse Community Development Centre.
